GenFusion Steel Orchestra Founder & Purpose

Intent in Building the Brand

Creating a Positive Youth Outlet: The primary motivation was to establish a structured, safe, and inspiring creative environment for young musicians in St. Thomas, using music as a vehicle for mentorship, discipline, and personal growth.

Elevating Caribbean Culture and the Steelpan: Forbes intended to preserve and champion the rich tradition of steelpan music while pushing the art form forward artistically through innovative arrangements that blend traditional island sounds with contemporary genres.

Building a Forward-Thinking Musical Institution: Beyond a local youth band, the vision was to construct a dynamic, professional-grade musical brand capable of regional collaboration, cross-cultural exchange, and high-profile performances that represent the U.S. Virgin Islands on broader stages.
